Picking Cotton

So, I had this conversation a while back, and I remembered some of the responses that were given, so I wanted to have this conversation again, without me providing any type of context, so that the answers will not be swayed or coerced in any way.

Question: Would you, as a career, pick cotton for $250 an hour, enduring the same conditions as the original slaves? Yes or no, and why?

Black History Month fact: Black History Month: The celebration of Black History Month began as “Negro History Week,” which was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator and publisher. It became a month-long celebration in 1976. The month of February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
